1. Job Summary:

The QC Engineer II in BTM VN is expected to handle both Functional and Quality Control tasks depending on different phases, time and the need of software project development cycles. It is required for a QC Engineer II to understand clearly the requirement of the assigned development work, and make sure the development work is correctly accomplished in BTM off-shore team through testing. The QC Engineer II may also be required to participate with BTM US functional team in analyzing and documenting current and future business processes and the client business functions that support them to design expected software functionalities.

2. Job Detail:

Essential functions:           

• Analyze and understand requirements defined from BTM US and clients, including clients business functions, enhancement, and application defects.
• Serve as point of contact for requirement clarification with BTM US functional team and internal team.
• Write test cases for the requirements and functionalities.
• Execute tests, report test result, and be the decision maker of bug assertion.
• Deploy builds and patches, maintain test database (depending on requirement from specific projects).
• Identify failures or defects in works delivered by developers. Explain the failures and defects for developers and coordinate with them in root cause analysis.
• Write functional design document and present them to US team and internal team.
• Collect, categorize, and record quality of work (number of defects, severity, etc.) from the assigned developers.
• Participate in writing project document such as user guide, project summary, and post-mortem.

Other functions:

• Follow company methodologies and procedures and assist in continuous improvements to BTM methodology and processes.
• Keep abreast of new technologies, best practices, and implementation methodologies in order to continue to improve company delivery.
• May perform other job related duties as assigned.

3. Requirement:

Education, Experience and Other Skills:

• Four-year college degree in Computer Science or related fields is preferred.
• Previous experience working with on-shore and remote teams is preferred.
• Certificates of Software Quality Control, Business Analysis, or other relevant certificates in Software Engineering are preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Have good English skills (equivalent TOEIC 450), including reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Have at least 2-year experience in Software Quality Control and/or Business Analysis.
